The ultimate game for NCTzens
From the makers of BLACKPINK THE GAME, TakeOne Company, comes NCT ZONE, a puzzle game that brings together the members of the South Korean boy group NCT and easy-to-learn matching game mechanics. Offering a chance to team up with your favorite member—like Chenle, Haechan, or Mark—the free-to-play game will have you entering the members’ dreams and battling against devious nightmares.
NCT ZONE introduces gacha mechanics through its card system—you can collect Special, SSR, SR, and Rare cards by drawing them from the event pools. Upgrade your cards accordingly so they can deal more damage during battle.
Go on an adventure with your favorite Neo
Made with NCTzens in mind, NCT ZONE’s primary features are filled with bits of NCT lore and eye candy. First, you’ll discover the Lobby, where a video clip of your chosen member will play on a loop. Kwangya is the campaign mode, where you must clear levels by playing match-puzzle games. Meanwhile, Neo Zone is a city-builder feature wherein you can build buildings and produce items.
You can also summon Ccomaz in the Neo Zone, and these are tiny, animated versions of the NCT members. Drag them around, dress them up in outfits resembling costumes from music videos, and make them dance or gossip together. Besides that, you can also spend in-game crystals or make in-app purchases to draw cards from the summoning pool. As mentioned, these cards help clear Kwangya levels with better efficiency.
As a fun treat for the fans, the game is also loaded with voice acting done by the members. Scoring combos in Kwangya levels using member-specific cards will trigger a chain of voice messages. Exclusive special cards, which can be used in battle or treated as collectibles, are also rolled out occasionally. However, the game’s not well-optimized for lower-spec devices, making it prone to lagging and auto-exiting.
Delightful but not lower-spec device-friendly
With its combination of engaging fan service, easy puzzle gameplay, and collectibles, NCT ZONE is a must-try for all NCTzens. The personalized touches, like voice acting by the members and the opportunity to summon animated Ccomaz versions, make the game even more special. However, it’s worth noting that the game may not perform optimally on lower-spec devices, posing challenges like lagging and auto-exiting.
